Autumn is the only time of year when a working vineyard or cider farm is genuinely more interesting than a pretty one — the presses are running, the fruit is in, and several producers open up around it.
Harvest, properly
The Winemaker's Harvest Lunch, early November.
A harvest party, plus an Anglo-Portuguese feast, Wine Wednesdays and Sip & Shop.
A harvest feast in early October, half-term activities, and Pizza Fridays running alongside.
A harvest dinner, then Notoberfest, Halloween, and into the Christmas markets and night markets.
A supper for the volunteer pickers after harvest, which tells you how small the operation is.
Evenings that run weekly
Fizz Friday — pizza and sparkling, every week from May to September, with occasional concerts.
Sunset Sessions on selected Friday evenings through summer.
A wine bar on Friday evenings and Flint Sundays, with the kitchen doing lunch.
Monthly Cider Saturdays and Friday pizza nights with live music.
Festivals and one-offs
The busiest diary in cider: market fayres, Ciderganza, a summertime soiree, the Ross Cider Festival, and a monthly quiz and open mic.
The Magnum Festival in early September.
Sam's Festival each August.
A harvest festival and Chef's Table dinners.
A cheese and cider tour, quiz nights, a Christmas craft fair and a wreath workshop.
Dates move. Every one of these came off the venue's own what's-on page, and that page is where to confirm before you drive anywhere — the link is on each venue's page here. Filter the map by Events on to see all forty.
